We are looking forward to the Native American Cultural Celebration Day this Friday, December 9th. On this day, students will participate in two Special Cultural literacy workshops with Peopleologie: Native California Workshop in the morning and Mud, Dirt, Sand and Clay in the afternoon.
We hope to see you at the Family potluck and student share at
10:30 - 11:45 a.m. This is where the third graders will share their discoveries and learnings on an aspect of the Ohlone peoples life and enjoy some traditional family food. Please RSVP to Mrs. Guevara with what food you are planning to share.

What We Have Been Learning
Students have been learning how to write a strong paragraph with clear topic sentences, supporting details, explanations and a conclusion. This has been making the whole world of informational writing become so much clearer.
Third graders explored with beans and built place value villages to help enforce their place value skills and practice number sense.
Students collaborated to create their displays about what they learned about the Ohlone.
Ask Your Child About
Talking with you child is the best way to support their learning and the following questions will help you get started.
What activity did they create during the hour of coding?
What is a topic sentence and supporting details?
What are some similarities between Ohlone traditions and their own?
Thank you for supporting your child with reading daily and signing their planner!
