Judge John Carroll honored

The Honorable John Carroll was named the 2017 recipient of the Brewer-Torbert Public Service Award by the Alabama Appleseed Center for Law and Justice this week.

Judge Carroll is currently a  law professor and the former dean of Samford University's Cumberland School of Law. He is a former board member for the BBVLP and an active volunteer. J udge Carroll helped the BBVLP start the Veterans Help Desk, which aims to give legal assistance to low-income veterans.

This client has two charges of assault pending against her spouse. Her husband physically assaulted her last week and set her car on fire. She is in desperate need of a divorce and cannot afford an attorney. Please help this woman end this abusive relationship.
