NC State Fair: 4-H Hay Bale
October 11, 2015

Being in this state wide contest will give others a positive view of Pender County 4-H. This will be decorated by the county council officers. As individual clubs your focus should be to design a Hay Bale as you would decorate the hay bale and submit to the agent by October 2, 2015. The county council officers will choose the best design to represent Pender County at the State Fair. We will decorate the hay bale in Raleigh at the State Fairgrounds on October 11, 2015, time will be announced at a later date.

From the Agent

Well folks, another summer for the books! I had such a great time at day camp, summer camp, congress and so much more! I could not have accomplished this fun filled summer without the YOUth, parents, and most importantly the volunteers! I greatly appreciate all of the volunteers who helped at day camp, you were more help than you will ever know and for that, I thank you! The fair season is coming to us quick! Pender county will be well represented at both the state level and the local level. Please be sure to sign -up with me or your club leaders for all upcoming events.

This year I have a goal that I would like to set for the county. I would like to see five presentations and five project record books from different youth from each club. This requirement will also go towards your club charter.
