By far, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year. Family and friends get together just to enjoy the fellowship, food and to give thanks for all that we have. (I smile just thinking about Thanksgiving Day)

However, it begs the question, why only be thankful once a year? Why not embrace an attitude of gratitude every day?

As a result, I'd like to share a few "signs" of gratitude.
SIGN #1 - Attitude of Gratitude
Have you ever noticed that when someone close to you is in a bad mood, it tends to rub off on you - and all of a sudden you're in a bad mood too? Conversely, if someone is in a great mood, you tend to feel better as well.

Studies have proven that if you simply smile, more than 50% of people will smile back. As this holiday season approaches, appreciate all that you have  and adopt an attitude of gratitude.

My friend Curtis is one of those upbeat people. He never seems to have a bad day. Just talking to him on the phone is uplifting. He embraces gratitude as a way of life and also a way of running his business. He co-authored a book called "Appreciation Marketing. Achieving Greatness Through Gratitude." It's an easy read, full of common sense ideas (and a great holiday gift idea for business people). I highly recommend it. Check it out online.
SIGN #2 - Gratitude is Good for Your Health
Study after study has shown medical benefits that a genuine sense of gratitude has on your health.
  • It reduces Stress. Simply smiling and embracing a sense of gratitude releases endorphins that counteract and diminish stress hormones.
  • It lowers your heart rate.
  • It boosts your immune system and puts you in a better mood.
SIGN #3 - Opportunity is all around us (for those who look for it)
This will sound a little like "motherhood and apple pie"  but we live in a great  country and there's never been a better time in all of history to be alive.  There's more information and opportunity available today than any other time in history. Don't let your dreams die. Pursue them.
SIGN #4 - Say Thank You
On rare occasion, you'll see one of these signs when leaving a business. No matter what business you're in, recognize that customers have a choice (and can go to your competitors) so make sure to thank them for their patronage.

Thank You emails are good, phone calls are better but if you really want to stand out, send a hand written thank you card. If you're too busy to go to the stationary store, use a service such as AMcards. Online selection of tons of different types of cards that are easily customizable. They go out next day with a real stamp and in YOUR handwriting... and it only takes 2 minutes on your computer, tablet or smartphone. Click Here to send one card for free.
How grateful would you be if you had an employee who never called in sick, never complained, never asked for a raise and worked 24/7/365 to promote your business? That's what effective signs do for you.
If you'd like to learn more about how effective signage systems can help you grow your business, give us a call at 203-840-0644 or email us.

If you know of a friend or business associate that might benefit from increased exposure from signs, this email to them.
In closing, I want to sincerely THANK YOU for the opportunity to provide for your signage needs. I truly appreciate you.

Enjoy Thanksgiving!
