Dear Friends,
On October 15 we set out to reach a goal - to win the first ever Girl Effect Challenge. Because of your donations, posts, texts and tweets we are in 1st place with 48 hours to go!
There will be a lot happening on the leaderboard in the next 48 hours, and we need your help more than ever to keep the Mariposas in the lead. As this email goes out we are only 13 donors ahead of the competition and the gap is closing fast.
If you've been meaning to get out your credit card or text in your $10, now is when we need it the most. Winning means we become a Girl Effect recognized organization, get a nice chunk of funding from the Nike Foundation and tons of international exposure. It's our ultimate goal to win this and we can only do it with your help.
The funds raised will support The Mariposa Girls Leadership Program. With your help we can provide food, clean water, after school programs, sports, school uniforms, safe transportation, school supplies, medical care, and HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention education for adolescent girls living in poverty.
