Greg Jackson began work at the 4Cs this week, joining our organizing team alongside Bob Reutenauer and David Bosco.
Greg is uniquely qualified for this position. He has taught History at our own Norwalk Community College, as well as at WestConn, Sacred Heart University, and Stony Brook University. His 11-year organizing and advocacy experience includes five years with the Graduate Student Employees Union Local CWA 1104 at Stony Brook, including three years as a recreational organizer for the same group.
Initially, Greg will not be assigned to represent any particular community colleges. President Bonina has assigned him a special project to develop a training and outreach program for our chapters. Greg will also be shadowing Dave and Bob for several months while developing materials for our chapters.
During his career, he has been a member of the 4Cs, the Connecticut State University American Association of University Professors (CSU-AAUP), the United Federation of Teachers (AFT),
and the Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees Union (HERE).
Jackson received his Ph.D. and master's degree in History from Stony Brook, and his bachelor's degree in the same field from Siena College in Loudonville, N.Y. He spent two years in international study in Spain and attended Orange County Community College in Middletown, N.Y. He is also fluent in Spanish and
