Forwarding a kind note, hoping to find the owner of a set of keys!...

Animal Lifeline shares donations around the community when we are able.  W
e donate clothing to the Reformation Lutheran Church at the end of our seasonal clearance, and they are starting a pet food bank like their human food bank.  We would like to thank them for partnering with us to create more humane communities!

After receiving our winter donation, we were contacted by the church with the note below.  If you are looking for keys, please call 215-343-5050 and ask for Laurie!

Hi Denise,

On Thursday night we were sorting clothing donations for the clothing bank at Reformation Lutheran Church. In one of the bags we found a set of car keys. We do not know whose bag the keys were in. If you or any of your customers have lost a set of keys we have them in our church office.

We have sent out an e-mail to our congregation, but we also get donations from others in the community and from generous people like you. Thank you for all of the bags of clothing you have donated. We served 51 families on Friday and lots of clothing left our shelves. We could not continue this ministry without the help of generous people as yourself.

God Bless.
Karen Hawk

Animal Lifeline provides aid for pit bulls
Doylestown-Buckingham-New Britain Patch

Animal Lifeline has awarded $2,500 to the No Nonsense Neutering organization to help them continue providing $25 spay and neuter for pit bulls, the Warrington-based agency announced this week.

Animal Lifeline is already working in partnership with No Nonsense Neutering and the Bucks County SPCA to provide low-cost vouchers for veterinary care for the pets of low-income families and also to test, spay/neuter feral cats in Bucks County.

Pit bull overpopulation has become chronic across the country and is putting pressure on agencies in Pennsylvania. A Petfinder.com search shows 3,855 pit bulls listed as adoptable looking for homes in Pennsylvania.

"Pit bull overpopulation is a national problem," says Denise Bash, founder of Animal Lifeline. "We are trying to curb the cause at the root, not adopt our way out of an overwhelming issue. We provide support to as many rescues and shelters as possible through our assistance programs but are working diligently to create more humane communities by taking aim at population control of the pets we see overburdening our shelters and rescues."
