A Note From Your Fourth Grade Teachers
Fourth Grade Connections
December 8th, 2016
Dear Fourth  Grade Families,

We have been working very hard these last few weeks before our Holiday Break. We hope you all received our invitation to our Celebration of Learning taking place on Thursday, December 15th from 8:15am - 9:30am. Your child will be sharing their Electrical Houses, teaching guests a few math games, and sharing their poetry and Coastside Dreams Narratives.

As we head into the New Year, we are already looking ahead to preparing students for the transition to fifth grade. As part of this effort, we will be starting a new homework system in January. Weekly work will still honor a healthy school-life balance but will help provide some structure and routine for homework practice that will establish the study skills needed for future success.

What We Have Been Learning
Ask Your Child About

Talking with you child is the best way to support their learning and the following questions will help you get started.

  • What are some different math strategies you have been learning?
  • How is California's geography unique and diverse?
  • What are you grateful for at school? at home?
  • Thanks to all of you who have already donated to our Annual Fund! Your donation bridges the gap between tuition and the true amount needed to fund our programs. Fourth Grade's parent participation stands at 82%. If you haven’t already taken the opportunity to contribute, please click here to make your gift today. We greatly appreciate it!

  • Thanks to all of you who participated in the Adopt-A-Family program! You have made the holidays special for a local family in need.

  • With more rain in the forecast, please have your child wear appropriate layers and gear.
