1. TEMPLE WILL BE OPEN ALL DAY 
2. Arrive early to Park. Follow Security instructions for Parking

1. Food, Sweets & Business Booths open at 10am 
2. Fireworks Sale all day
3. Temple Lighting Illumination- Starts at Sunset - Join early to enjoy the view before and after illumination.
4. Children Activities starts at 5:30PM - All Children's activities will be in the Assembly Hall. 
5a. Puja and aarti by Children all day 
5b. Artwork & Poetry
Competition being submitted on evening of Diwali day should be brought directly to the Assembly Hall. If given to Manager, it may miss the judging process.  All Art work and Poetry should be submitted no later than 6p.m. Entries submitted after 6pm may miss the judging process.

5c. Goody bags and Shloka timings - Shlokas will not be judged. Goody bags will be given to first 300 children starting 5:30pm till 8pm.

6 Diwali Puja Programs
6a. South Indian style Dhan Lakshmi Puja at 6:15PM 
6b. Ganesh ji ,Laksmi Puja & Chopda Pujan from 6:00PM to 8:00PM 
$101 for Sponsorship for Lakshmi Puja includes silver coin.
Unity Lamp Sponsors @ $1001 can join Lakshmi puja and includes silver coin. 
Also Diwali Gala Sponsors at $1000 and above!

7. Diwali Unity Lamp Lighting after Puja

8.Maha Aarti @ 8:15PM (All children and parents are encouraged to finish activities in the Assembly Hall and join the Maha Aarti in the Prayer hall)

HURRY!! Deadline for Diwali Art Competition is coming up!
Submit Art by Saturday , October 29, 2016 by 5:30PM during Temple hours.
Location: EKTA Mandir, Assembly Hall
2804 W Maryland Ave, PHX AZ 85017
Ensure that you submit your artwork to 
Temple Manager Mahendra Devgania or Sita Raman only.
Clearly write Name, Age & Phone# on the Back of Artwork Only. 
Artwork with names in the front will be disqualified.

Guidelines!
*             SIZE: ONLY 8X11 rectangle shape DIWALI THEMED artwork.
*             Artwork MUST be completed at home prior to Diwali.
*             Artwork must be submitted by deadline Oct 29 5:30 pm.
*             Be Creative - drawing, painting or any other style of art.
*             Age 3-17 yrs. 3 prize categories (3-7, 8-12, 13-17 yrs)
*             Results will be announced at time of Maha Aarti.
*             Artwork received after the deadline may be displayed, but may not be eligible for competition.

Poetry Competition for Children
Grand Diwali Mela 

Saturday, October 29, 2016 
@ Ekta Mandir

Poetry writing competition ages 6-17.
Prizes will be awarded in different age groups.
Please Have your children write original poetry composition with their own hands.
Submit by 5:30pm on October 29, 2016 at Ekta Mandir Assembly Hall.

Children will also have an opportunity to recite their poetry at Assembly Hall. 
Please encourage them to participate. They will not be judged on recitation. 
So, please be comfortable and encourage them to participate.

Oct 29, 2016 Diwali Day!
Interactive 
Temple Set up. 

Child friendly Mandir will be set up at Assembly Hall. 
Children can come close to Shrine, receive tilak, pray, and do Aarti.
Battery operated lights will provide a safe environment for children to do Aarti & pray.

  Recite Shlokas/Poem
Children are encouraged to recite their favorite Shloka or a Poem while praying at Assembly Hall.
This is a comfortable interactive atmosphere where children are encouraged to participate at whatever level they feel comfortable 
and get connected to their roots & Indian culture.



Receive Goodybags.


No Diwali is complete without goodies. Goodybags will be given to first 300 children.
