Greetings!

Just when you thought you'd got the hang of Facebook and Twitter along comes another social site - It's called Pinterest and it's the fastest site in history to break 10 million unique visits in one week. In December last year it entered the top 10 social networks ranked by visits, and in January this year it drove more traffic to online retailers than LinkedIN and YouTube. We have added it to the other social sites that we use to tell people about your sales, and we're busy working out the best way of utilising it to benefit UKauctioneers clients. It's very addictive and it's all about the images, (we certainly have plenty of those) - more reason than ever now to make sure you are taking good quality photos of your lots.

5 top tips to boost bidding on your
on-line catalogue

  1. Use more and better images
Without a doubt the quickest way to increase interest in your sale is to illustrate the lots in your catalogue, because the best way to sell products is to let them sell themselves. We all know that a picture speaks a thousand words and In our experience better images result in better clicks and sales.

vaseHandy Hint

While on the subject of images, remember not to stick your lot labels in a too prominent position on the item. It makes it difficult for us to choose images for promoting lots when there's a big white label spoiling the shot : )
