Request for Proposal- Breckenridge

The Town of Breckenridge Free Ride Transit System (The FREE RIDE) is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to perform complete interior, exterior, and mechanical mid-life refurbishment of two Gillig Hybrid Transit Coaches in its transit fleet. All CASTA Business members and other vendors are encouranged to read more and submit a proposal.

Funding Opportunity for Non-Profit Associations

$2.75 MILLION FUNDING OPPORTUNITY FOR NONPROFIT CONSORTIA
CALSTART IS SEEKING PROJECT CONCEPTS AND PARTNERS

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has announced a $2.75 million  opportunity  for nonprofit organizations to apply for funding to facilitate the advancement, production, and deployment of zero-emission public transportation vehicle technology and related infrastructure. FTA's   Zero Emission Research Opportunity  supports FTA's green-technology programs by advancing non-polluting transit vehicles through team-led research and demonstration projects.
 
CALSTART seeks project proposals  that will focus on increasing efficiencies and capabilities while lowering costs for transit fleets. Technology areas include battery-electric, hybrid-electric, hydrogen fuel cell, as well as charging and refueling infrastructure.  Member companies that are interested in this funding opportunity or have ideas to share should contact CALSTART Vice President Fred Silver at  fsilver@calstart.org or call  626-744-5687. In addition we request that you submit your project concept to  fsilver@calstart.org  ASAP for consideration. As a part of your concept please include:
  • the name of your project,
  •  the transit property and technology partner
  • your point of contact
  • and how  this project will lead  to the wider adoption of zero emission technology in Public Transportation
