Corporate Cooperation

Aon's Empower Communities and Abbvie's Week of Possibilities service projects called Bernie's Book Bank home for multiple days of volunteering in June. Nearly 700 team members sorted, stickered, bagged and packed books- and had a great time! Their hard work enabled us to distribute books to more than 100,000 at-risk children.

Allstate, Baxter, Grainger, Target and numerous other companies have also volunteered recently. Bernie's Book Bank is extremely grateful to everyone who takes time from their busy day to give back.

Is your organization interested in volunteering, team building or holding a meeting at Bernie's Book Bank? Partner with Bernie's Book Bank and help serve at-risk children in Chicagoland with 12 quality books each year.

Note from Brian

Dear fellow Berniacs;
As you can see, it's been an incredible first half of the year at Bernie's Book Bank.  We have made so much progress and continue to work to get better in every phase of our organization.
Having just opened our new and expanded Processing Center in December, I am so proud of all the strides we have made towards one end, fulfilling our mission to serve every at-risk Chicagoland child with 12 quality books a year from birth through 6th grade.
We continue to set new Bernie's Book Bank records.

In June, Bernie's Book Bank collected, processed and distributed more than 397,000 quality books alone.  To put this in perspective, our biggest month prior to this was 220,000 quality books distributed. AND, prior to moving into the new facility, our biggest month was 120,000 quality books distributed.  Needless to say, we are well on our way to fulfilling a goal we set 3 years ago; to be collecting, processing and distributing 4 MILLION quality books annually by 2016.
None of this would be possible without YOU!

Thank you to all of our book donors, volunteers, financial contributors, team members and board members.
Brian Floriani, Founder & Executive Director
