Alice Fogel takes you through seven simple steps, and one hard one, toward understanding and appreciating more elements of poetry than you ever thought you could. In the end you'll see that you already knew them all along. This workshop is your quick, self-help program for "getting" poems. 2064: What Will Conway and Eaton Look Like in 50 Years?
Join us for Will Abbot's presentation on what Conway and Eaton might look like in 50 years.
Curious about what Conway and Eaton might look like in another 50 years? On December 4th at 6:30 pm William Abbott of the Upper Saco Valley Land Trust will discuss the results of a "build-out analysis" that was done for the Land Trust in 2013, as part of its Strategic Conservation Plan. The Land Trust commissioned the build-out analysis in order to see what portions of our towns might be most at risk - or most benefited from additional commercial and residential development. Where do we need to avoid development in order to protect the water quality of our streams, lakes and rivers? Where are development pressures most likely to impact rare habitats? What can we do now to ensure that large tracts of farmland and forestland stay viable "working lands" in the future? Most importantly - what land-use decisions need to be made now, before it's too late? Bring your own questions and challenges for this information-packedsession.
