In this issue... Elementary students tell us the real meaning of love.
Our Promise: Every student is known by name, strength, and need.
In Highline, all students are important and valued in our schools. That message came across loud and clear at Chinook Middle School, where all 600 students received a special welcome as they arrived at school on Valentine's Day.

What does the word love mean? The world's greatest poets, authors, musicians, teachers, and philosophers have struggled with that question for centuries. For Valentine's Day, we asked the smartest and most thoughtful people we know--our students.
Less than 100 days ago, Highline voters passed the first bond in ten years. This bond will give students room to learn in our growing district, rebuild our oldest schools, and make safety upgrades at every school in the district. We are committed to responsible bond spending. Track the planning and construction progress on our Keeping Our Promise website
