One of the best tips we can give you as you prepare is to create a meal plan. To help give you some ideas, click here
to access some cost effective recipes compiled by the California Food Literacy Center.
Guidelines for Participants:
- Spend no more than $4.90 per day, per person. This includes both food and beverage.
- During the Challenge, try to only eat food that you purchase for the project. Do not eat food you already own (this does not include spices and condiments) unless you factor the cost of that food into your daily budget.
- Avoid accepting free food or beverages from friends, family, or at work, including at receptions, briefings, or other events where food is served.
- Most importantly, be sure to share your stories, recipes, photos, and videos on our Facebook event page!
Finally, don't forget to attend our Press Conference on November 15th at 9am at River City Food Bank. All participants who attend the Press Conference will receive a free "I Completed the 7-Day Food Stamp Challenge" sticker!
