What a Christmas gift! The best gifts really are the ones that have to do with people. At the end of the day, we are the only thing that lasts, and even though we're flawed "sheep," for some reason God chooses people to help people.
 
During this holiday season as you give physical gifts as well as pray for your family, city and friends...thank you for remembering the current Gatehouse families and the new ones to come in 2018.  They pray for rescue from daily trauma, relief from pain, and restoration inside and out. The question for each of us is: "What if I'm the answer to their prayers?"

ADOPT A FAMILY
Adopt a Gatehouse family in 2018
  
Think of what it takes to run your household for a year and multiply that times the 85 households -- 85 women and 145 kids who The Gatehouse will support in 2018. 

Through your 1 or 2 year commitment to the Adopt a Family Giving Circle, you help provide the annual budget for food, clothing, housing, transportation, child care, legal aid, higher education and other needs for a Gatehouse family. 

When a woman's basic needs are fulfilled, she is freed to heal, set goals, begin a new career and take care of her children.

END OF YEAR GIVING
Postmark end-of-year gifts by Dec. 30
  
Thank you for your calls about year-end giving, which will help support current and incoming families in 2018.

Year-end contribution deadlines:
  • Checks must be dated on or before Dec. 31 and postmarked by Dec. 30.
  • Credit Card gifts made online must be completed before midnight, Dec. 31. Credit Card gifts sent by mail must arrive by Saturday, Dec. 30.
  • Gifts of Stock or Wire Transfers must be received by 3 p.m. CST on Friday, Dec. 29. Please check with your brokerage firm or financial institution to ensure transfer to projectHandUp has been successfully completed. For transfer instructions, email [email protected].
Our offices will be closed from noon on Friday, December 22 through January 1. If you need assistance with your year-end contribution while our offices are closed, please email [email protected]. 

If your company has a corporate giving or match program, consider designating projectHandUp/The Gatehouse as one of your charities in 2018.

Women's Giving Circle
Circle 58 is a circle of women who take action to give women leaving a crisis situation a hand up for permanent change. The annual membership fee provides much-needed resources for Gatehouse women.

Gatehouse Young Professionals
The Gatehouse Young Professionals are leaders 35 and younger in Dallas / Fort Worth who desire to raise awareness and serve passionately women and children in crisis discovering new paths for permanent change. 

The group sponsors and hosts an annual Freedom Bash for Gatehouse families, organizes an annual Trunk-or-Treat event for Gatehouse children, and coordinates seminars and social gatherings for its members.   Contact [email protected] to join.
