Dear Friend of CCSD93,
Get a Front Row Seat in CCSD93's Classes with Week in Review!
I invite you to get a closer look at the awesome teaching and learning opportunities occurring everyday in our classrooms by checking out our Week in Review, which compiles all the week's tweets about CCSD93 from our teachers and community members for you in one space! It gives you a front row seat in our classes to see the unique, innovative, and relevant education CCSD93's teachers are providing our students. We post it every Saturday on our Facebook page, and I'll share them here from time to time. You don't even need a Twitter account to see it. Check out our August 24-31 Week in Review here!
Elementary Parents Invited to Math Info Nights
CCSD93's elementary classrooms are in the process of implementing new resources to better teach mathematics. During the month of September, each CCSD93 elementary school will hold a 30-minute Math Info Night for parents to learn key information about the new resources. CCSD93 curriculum specialists will share details about the changes, tips on how parents can help students with math, and answer parent questions. Please attend! See the image above for details.
Download FirstView Bus Tracking App Today!
Yesterday, all parents with CCSD93 students who ride our buses were sent an email with information to download and login to FirstView, our bus tracking app. Use it to track your child's bus in real time and receive automated alerts when the bus is a certain time or distance from your child's stop. Check your email for the specific login info for your child. For more information, visit  www.ccsd93.com/firstview
CCSD93 Soccer to Kickoff Next Week on 9/6
Soccer is newly added in 2018-19 to our interscholastic sports offerings, joining volleyball, basketball, wrestling, cheerleading, cross country and track. As the world's most popular sport, we're thrilled to add it for our students. The boys season is now underway and the girls season will take place in the spring. Our schools will face off next Thursday, September 6 at 4 p.m. at Jay Stream in the first ever match between them!  Above is a photo of some of Jay Stream's 8th grade players.
You're Invited to Taste of Bloomingdale:
50 Men Who Cook & Divas Who Dish Event on 9/15

It's a wonderful community event hosted by the Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce where prominent men and women from our local communities put their cooking skills on display to raise money for schools, including Stratford Middle School and the CCSD93 Early Childhood Center.

I invite you to attend! If you do, you'll be able to enjoy:
  • Raffles
  • Musical entertainment
  • Delicious home-cooked entries by the likes of Stratford Principal Patrick Dawson and former CCSD93 Board Member Dick Boyer, as well as many more community leaders!

The event will be held 6-8 p.m. Saturday, September 15 at Stratford Square Mall in outdoor event tents! Check out this website for more info and to buy tickets.
