Pups or humans in Mardi Gras costumes or beads will receive an extra raffle ticket! Paws FUR Pink® Run/Walk Orange County! This dog friendly event will be held annually from 7:00 am to 8:30 am on February 26, 2017 at Irvine Regional Park in Orange, CA, US. Admission is $35 - $45.  Together we can make a difference - Let's Be The Cure! Paws FUR Pink is a dog-friendly event partially benefiting the National Canine Cancer Foundation and in Orange County, Susan G. Komen Orange County. Registration includes: 5K Run/Walk, Medals or bandanas, T-shirt and more! Stay to play at the FURever Yours Expo!  The Hearty Hound 5K Fun Run/Walk course follows Irvine Park Road, Santiago Creek Trail to Peters Canyon Road, and has a mixture of flat paved trails with VERY minimal hills.   We suggest strollers to be off-road capable.  Dog water bowls will be provided at various water stations throughout the course.  There is one human water station and several dog water stations!  Dawdling Doodle 1 Mile Walk is a flat course around the park, mostly on grass.  For all info click here.


Seal Walks at Jones Beach State Park

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation is pleased to announce that Jones Beach State Park will be offering a series of walks to see wintering seals January through March. A State Park naturalist will lead visitors on an hour and a half leisurely beach walk to an area where up to four species of seals can be observed. Along the way, there will be opportunities to see many winter birds and to explore marine geology. Please dress appropriately and wear comfortable footwear for hiking. Binoculars are recommended. Meet at the Theodore Roosevelt Nature Center at West End Field #1.
Reservations are required and will be accepted beginning two weeks prior to each date. Space is limited. Fee: $4.00 per person (ages 18+), $3.00 for children (ages 3-17), and children under 3 are free (unless otherwise noted). If you are unable to keep your reservation, please call and cancel so that others may have the opportunity to attend. Tabitha is a shy, sweet female domestic short haired, 3-4 yo cat. Give her a little time and she comes out of her shell. Poor Tabitha has been waiting over 7 months for her forever home.

Kadima
is a sweet, friendly male cat that came to Pets Alive as a result of a hoarding situation in May 2015. But that hasn't hindered his progress since he's come to Pets Alive. He's a very loving guy, likes other cats and will let you pet him all day long! He's also very playful and would love a forever home. He's on a special diet of ProPlan Urinary Tract food which can be purchased at a pet store. Kadima is available for adoption - come and meet him and fall in love!
