Dear Families and Friends of Tuesday's Children,
Even after the second warmest New York winter in recorded history, it is still invigorating that spring has officially arrived! We at Tuesday's Children are as committed as ever to you, and are ready for another season of high-quality, educational and fun programs and events.
In this issue of Tuesday's News, you will read highlights of some of our recent activities, including a Helping Heals trip to Austin, TX. A group of our family members spent their winter break volunteering with Habitat for Humanity building homes. It was a wonderful bonding opportunity and a tremendously rewarding way for these young people to "pay it forward" by helping those less fortunate.
There are many exciting programs and events coming soon, including our annual Take Our Children to Work Day on April 26. With more than 50 corporations and 150 young people participating, the day is likely to be the largest in the event's 10-year history. If you have not already done so, please register or sign up to volunteer today.
I also wanted to call your attention to a special parenting workshop on May 9. Held in conjunction with the world-renowned Child Mind Institute, the workshop will focus on developmental issues children face as they grieve over time and feature advice and tips on what parents can do to deal with those issues.
There is so much ahead - including private tours of the memorial, Project Common Bond and more - so please visit our complete calendar for information on all of our programs and events for 2012.
Thank you for your continued support.
Helping Heals Trip 2012
During their February winter break, a group of young adults travelled with Tuesday's Children's Helping Heals program to Austin, TX to work with Habitat for Humanity building homes for families in need. Our group's touching story was covered by reporters from Fox News, Austin and CBS affiliate station KEYE-TV! Read more...

On Saturday, March 10th, Tuesday's Children was invited to the USS Intrepid Sea Air and Space Museum. One hundred family members enjoyed a private tour of the U.S aircraft carrier including special access to new exhibits, a beautiful view from the flight deck, and a special tour of the Growler Submarine. As one family member said, "thanks for all you do! Tuesday's Children has definitely made a difference in my children's lives."
The New York Islanders hockey team warmly welcomed Tuesday's Children to an exciting game on Tuesday, March 13th, at Nassau Memorial Coliseum. Family members wore jerseys, waved banners, and proudly supported the home team in a close game against the Washington Capitals. Our youngest members sent in this wonderful photo, and expressed great thanks for the opportunity to go to the game!
