Sid from Sid the Science Kid visited Iowa this week. His main event was held on Saturday at the Science Center of Iowa where he participated in a meet and greet and families enjoyed hands on activities, prizes and learned about resources.

While initially many technological innovation after World War II were welcomed, some of these new technologies had harmful side effects. In her book  Silent Spring , Rachel Carson showed how some pesticides were threatening wildlife.
