Meadow Pond Elementary School Celebrated 50 Years!

Meadow Pond Elementary School celebrated its 50th birthday on Monday, December 4, with cupcakes, party hats, and a presentation that spanned 1967 - 2017!

Special guests included Lewisboro Town Historian Maureen Koehl, Lewisboro Town Supervisor Peter Parsons, mascot Max the Moose, and over thirty former Meadow Pond teachers and staff.


Learning a New Language through Cooking and Food

Bonjour  class!" said Sue Reiss, French teacher at John Jay Middle School. She and her students were in the Home and Careers classroom. 

"Today we are going to make croque monsieur with b├ęchamel sauce," said Mrs. Reiss.  The activity is part of a new interdisciplinary collaboration between Home and Careers and World Languages. 

Principles of Engineering Class Visits New Bridge

John Jay's Principles of Engineering class visited the Tarrytown office of Tappan Zee Constructors in mid-November. 

Themes of project management and risk assessment emerged through the conversation about dismantling the old bridge.
