We are kicking off the month this Saturday, the 3rd at 4pm  with A Celebration of Vietnam: Timeless Charm Party The event features a cultural presentation of Vietnam, Vietnamese food, dance, and more!

AFMSP's Board of Directors is now recruiting new members (to join on July 1, 2018).  All members of the Alliance Française are welcome to apply - we seek Board candidates that represent all constituencies of the Minnesota francophone community, including but not limited to those from across the age, racial and international spectrum. Candidates with finance, accounting, human resources and information technology skills would be particularly welcome. French Cinema at the Walker: Until the Birds Return 
The Walker Art Center will host filmmaker Karim Moussaoui and present Until the Birds Return (En attendant les hirondelles) on Wednesday, March 28 as a part of a quick Midwest U.S. tour coordinated by the Consulate General of France in Chicago and Cultural Services of the French Embassy. An Afternoon in Paris with Paris Off Script, L'More Chocolat & the Alliance

Minnesota Sinfonia Concerts March 2-4

Volunteer as a Conversation Partner 
One of our community members has an elderly mother who is a native French speaker. She would love to visit with a French speaker of any level who wants to practice their French. Host Family Wanted
17 year-old Pierre from Northeastern France is seeking a host family for this summer (6 weeks in July and August). He would like to work in the US next summer and stay with a family. Presentation: Catholic Influence on French Immigration to North America
On  March 17, Charles Coulombe will give a presentation titled "Catholic Influence on French Immigration into North America."  Coulombe is the author of The Pope's Legion, and Puritan's Empire: A Catholic Perspective on American History. He is recognized internationally for his in-depth knowledge of Vatican politics and the influence of Catholicism in America and Europe. Find out more.
