"The Komediant" is a
documentary film
which recalls the life, and careers of the Burstein family of Yiddish
theatre.
It received the prestigious Israeli Academy's Best Documentary Award, and chronicles one of the most visible families of the Yiddish theatre in America. It contains rare footage of the genre from the 1930s onwards. "The film sparkles with the wisdom and humour of its subjects."
