Hello and Happy 2017!  Your Blood Center Foundation of the Inland Northwest new year has continued a flurry of activity from a busy 2016.  The Foundation turned "3" in November, launched operations independent of Blood Systems and the Inland Northwest Blood Center, supported another sell-out success for Epicurean Delight, transitioned articles/bylaws/gift funds, reviewed endowment management and performance, surpassed the $250,000 grant-giving mark, reached the $350,000 Build Your Bloodmobile capital campaign goal and received endowment funds from the BSI/INBC merger close of over $3M.  Whew!

Thanks to generous, dedicated sponsors, guests, restaurants, libations, donors and volunteers, 2016 Epicurean Delight netted $116,000!  All funds directly support INBC's newest bloodmobile, Life Saver 5, due to join the fleet in June. INBC bloodmobiles travel regional roads nearly every day to collect 60% of all blood and blood product donations.  Offering a safe and comfortable environment for our donors and staff is paramount.  Thank you for your mission-centered support!

Mark your calendar now for Epicurean Delight 2017:   Friday, November 10 at the Spokane Convention Center!  Tickets go on sale July 1.

Center an A+ Award from the Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce on December 13.  The Blood Center Foundation's Elementary/Middle School Youth Leadership STEM Grant to INBC has allowed the students to coordinate blood drives and participate in leadership training in 2015 and 2016.  Over 80 units of blood have been collected by Ramsey School and two grants of $1,500 received.  Funds were used to purchase new Chromebooks and a Chromebook cart.
