Question:

What medical treatment provides benefits beyond its expected results and can be safely and successfully used to treat a variety of chronic medical problems?

Answer:

Lymph Drainage Therapy (LDT). This deeply relaxing massage therapy offers an array of health benefits such as alleviating chronic anxiety and reducing post-surgical edema.

Lymph Drainage Therapy supports the lymphatic system, a network of vessels and organs that works with the immune system to help your body to function at its optimal level.  For example, studies have shown its usefulness in treating cancer-related lymphedema; in fact, when LDT is administered before any symptoms appear, it can actually provide a positive effect against developing lymphedemaFibromyalgia patients report fewer symptoms and less pain after receiving lymph drainage therapy. And still other studies have demonstrated that LDT also provides substantial anxiety-reducing benefits!

Our Certified Massage Therapist, Linda Glick, and I collaborated on an article about the many benefits Lymph Drainage Therapy, which we have posted on the Kaplan Center website. In addition
Linda Glick

to having specialized manual skills and a comprehensive understanding of the lymphatic system, Linda has many years of experience in administering Lymph Drainage Massage. She is also a Reiki Master, a Brain Gym instructor and a key part of the Kaplan Center's rehabilitation staff.

Talk with your physician to determine whether Lymph Drainage Therapy would be beneficial for you.

As always, you have our best wishes for optimal health.
