A Gift of Rest and Restoration
Staff Retreat 2018
Recently, our staff and Trailblazers Support Group (pictured left) were incredibly blessed through the effort and generosity of some of God's most beautiful hearts.

Leesa Shultz: A Servant In Action

Leesa Shultz (pictured front right), author of Can I Just be Real? followed God's lead by planning and hosting an all-inclusive, all-expense-paid weekend of renewal for us at The Wilderness Fellowship Retreat Center in Frederic, Wisconsin.

Others Ministered Too

Ramona Moody, Cynthia Leonard and Leesa Shultz hosted, fed, and prayed us through the weekend. Thank you so much ladies!

Of special note were the massages we received from Arlene Rauchbauer.

Lessons Learned and Huge Thank You!

We hiked, prayed, pontooned, talked, slept, ate, sang, laughed and cried...and then we lingered, not wanting it to end.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this special time of fellowship.

You’ve reminded us how important it is to take time to pause, rest and receive...

Why We Give Monthly
By Dave and Cathy Nimmo
Monthly Donors
Dave and Cathy Nimmo (pictured) are friends of Door of Hope who have recently become monthly donors.Their ongoing donations help provide a solid foundation for the ministry and enable us to plan ahead. We are so grateful!

Dave and Cathy Share Why They Give...

We are always watching to support ministry that is effective, love driven and hope filled. Door of Hope is such a ministry.

We praise God for the opportunity to join with them and watch the plan and glory of God unfold.

They Say: We See This Scripture Manifesting Over and Over...

And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. (Romans 5:3b-5)

Dave and Cathy reside in Blaine, MN and attend Emmanuel Christian Center. In their own words: “God delivered us from a pit of our own making 39 years ago and we have loved serving Christ ever since.” They’ve been married 45 years, have four children and eight grandchildren and are blessed by all.

Yes, this is very exciting!

Thank you to Volunteers and Donors!

And thanks to all who donated for carpeting. You gave $2150, exceeding our need for $1500! (surplus is going toward a drop ceiling).

V olunteer Carpet and Drop Ceiling Installers Wanted

We’re getting bids for installing carpet and a drop ceiling, but would prefer volunteer installers.

Only Need About $900 to Complete the Project

The additional $650 donated for the carpet has been put toward the drop ceiling, which means we only need about $900 to complete the project.

New Parenting Class: Loving on Purpose
Includes Programming for Children and a Teen Support Group
Loving on Purpose for parents
Loving Our Kids on Purpose,  written by Danny Silk, is a parenting method that reveals the Father's heart and helps show you how best to represent Him to your children.

Each of us has a built-in template of how we see God and, without realizing it, we project that onto our child's template. It's how generations influence each other.

Our Heavenly Father is much more focused on love than compliance.

This class will help you love your kids with His perspective.

Where:  TBD
Cost:  $45 per person or $60 per couple, includes workbook
