Attention parents of teens and ‘tweens:
Has your child ever failed at something? Do you worry he or she will not “measure up” in some way to the standards society sets? Does your child ever get overwhelmed or disappointed by their sense of pressure to succeed?
If you answered “yes” to any of the above, can I invite you to clear your schedule
tomorrow evening, Thursday April 5
, from 7:00-8:30p?
Please make time to join us in Fellowship Hall for a panel discussion about parenting teens and ‘tweens through failure and disappointment. We’ll have the wisdom and experience of
to point us toward some answers and guidelines. Both Pam and Keith are school counselors, both are currently parents of teens/’tweens, and both are members of MCC who trust in Jesus as their Savior. These unique backgrounds give Pam and Keith some great, informed perspectives to help us through our own parenting challenges. Honestly, I can hardly wait to hear what wisdom they have to share!
Parenting teens and ‘tweens, and helping them through failure and rejection, is not an easy task. However, with Easter just now behind us, we can reflect this week on our Savior and His cross and know that God uses rejection to ultimately beautiful purpose. Join us this Thursday to see how we can rest on Gospel hope to help our kids cope with rejection and failure, without missing out on opportunities because of fear.
Moms, dads, caregivers, teachers, grandparents…
ALL (not just moms) are welcome at this BeTween Moms event tomorrow evening, Thursday, at 7:00pm.
Free childcare has been arranged, and we’ve got your dessert covered: we’ll have sweets, coffee, and tea to help fuel our discussion. I hope you will join us!
