Tupelo Quarterly, now heading into its second full year, is taking nominations and applications for the position of Managing Editor. We are searching for highly qualified candidates with a strong sense of aesthetic, an unwavering commitment to nonprofit publishing, vision, passion, and finely honed managerial skills.

The post is part-time, but represents a significant commitment -- and an opportunity to make a significant impact on contemporary literary publishing. The most recent issue of the Tupelo Quarterly (TQ4), had at any one time 20,000 readers and 100,000 page views by mid-day of its launch on July 15th. The successful candidate will assist the Editor-in-Chief in making appointments to the editorial board and will handle the day-to-day managerial and production issues of the journal.

Please send us your nominations, or a letter of interest with c.v. attached. You should include an artist's statement that gives us a sense of (the range of) your aesthetic, that discusses your management experience, your management style or philosophy and vision for an online literary and artistic journal. We have no preconceived notions about how TQ should be managed, so long as the style makes for happy, productive editors, stimulates writers, photographers, artists and readers alike.

Compensation dependent on experience. Nominations or application materials should be sent to publisher@tupelopress.org.
