A new year and new staff!
September is the beginning of the new 4-H year.  We are excited to welcome Danielle Zuidema, our new Kindergarten - 4th grade youth educator.  Danielle is a recent graduate of Dordt College and is anxious to begin planning for our youngest members.  Her email address is [email protected].

4-H Online New Family Enrollment and Member Re-enrollment
Enrollment for the new 4-H year begins September 2.

NEW 4-H families ONLY create a NEW profile.  Everyone else, HAS a profile and either re-enrolls or adds a new youth member to their family profile.
 
Please complete your 4-H Online enrollment by December 1 to continue to receive 4-H emails and newsletters.

National 4-H Week, October 4-10

Looking for ideas to celebrate National 4-H Week - here are some great suggestions for your members or your club.
  • Make and decorate place mats for your local Meals of Wheels
  • Host a Food Drive
  • Make Chemo Care Kits
  • Write "Any Hero" letters thanking our service people.
  • Make cookies or other treats and deliver them to local businesses to thank them for supporting 4-H
  • Ask your school if you may make daily announcements about all the things kids can do in 4-H
  • Send a news article to your local newspaper inviting others to join your 4-H club - be sure to give them details of who and how to connect with your club leaders
  • Wear a 4-H T-shirt to school every day
  • Invite a friend to 4-H

There are lots of ideas - plan NOW to make National 4-H Week a week to remember and to celebrate and share all the good things that happen in 4-H.  
Congratulations for Our Iowa State Fair Exhibitors

Sioux County was well represented at the 2015 Iowa State Fair.  We had numerous championships and special awards presented to our members.

Summer iCamps

Check out the great summer STEM camps!   Over 90 Sioux County youth participated.  There was lots of fun, friends and learning!

Fall STEM Fest - NCC in Sheldon

November 14 is the date set for Fall STEM Fest.  This partnership with Northwest Iowa Community College is one more way to keep kids excited about Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.  Mark your calendar and watch for registration information.
