The Wild Mind Training Program, designed for human development professionals in a variety of fields, is a multi-session course of study rooted in the Nature-Based Map of the Psyche, as introduced in Bill Plotkin's 2013 book, Wild Mind: A Field Guide to the Human Psyche. Fully compatible with many helping professions -- including psychotherapy, coaching, medicine, ministry, and education -- the Wild Mind Training offers innovative methods for the cultivation of innate wholeness and for the healing and integration of wounded subpersonalities.

The Wild Mind approach to human development is a comprehensive and in-depth form of ecotherapy and life coaching ... and much more. In addition to supplementing and amplifying your existing professional skills, this training provides you with new, original methods and practices for supporting people to contribute creatively to a hungry world. The Wild Mind Training also helps you prepare people for the journey of soul initiation.

In this tumultuous time of planetary change, it's essential for us to return to Earth, to live up to our greatest and wildest potentials, and to offer our most creative, culture-transforming contributions to our critical, liminal moment in the unfolding of the world's story. Our wild minds possess astonishing resources, untapped creativity, and depths that we might not even know exist until we learn to access them, cultivate their powers, and integrate them into our everyday lives.

In this training program, you'll learn both basic and advanced methods for helping people cultivate these depths and potentials -- which we call the four facets of the Self, or the four dimensions of our innate human wholeness -- and to embrace and heal the four sets of our fragmented or wounded subpersonalities that form during childhood.

The Wild Mind Training Program consists of five required intensives and several optional electives (depending upon your interests and existing professional background).

The core 5-day intensive -- the Wild Mind Training Residential -- will be offered for the first time in November 2015 by Bill Plotkin, Ph.D., and Brian Stafford, M.D. Most all of the other Animas guides are involved in one or more of the other Wild Mind Training intensives and electives.

As author Gary Snyder notes, "To speak of wilderness is to speak of wholeness." To have a wild mind is to have a whole mind. People with wild minds are those who have cultivated and embodied their innate human wholeness -- the full rainbow spectrum of capacities, talents, and sensibilities that constellate our evolutionary birthright.              ~ Bill Plotkin
