Happy New Year! 
As we look forward to 2018 and to even more ground breakings, ribbon cuttings and grand openings, I am excited to share some highlights from 2017 highlights with you:
  • 5,061 residents were housed in three counties
  • 20,892 individuals enjoyed onsite events
  • 276 youth participated in the Grade Reading Initiative
  • 19 formerly homeless individuals were housed
  • Free WiFi was made available at almost all properties, saving residents an average of $500 a year
  • 5 developments were completed or neared completion
  • $800,000 was raised from grants, partnerships and generous individuals
  • The combined company strength of PSHH & The Duncan Group reached 192 
For 2018, we anticipate more growth and additional community impact by:
  • Developing 6 more properties, to reach 2,000 rental units in our portfolio 
  • Bringing an innovative workforce housing model to San Luis Obispo 
  • Continuing to work with government at all levels to advocate for affordable housing
  • Adding to our current 175 active partnerships to support our residents with much-needed services and access to career building education
  • Opening a new office in Ventura, breaking ground on a new corporate office in San Luis Obispo and growing the staff to 200 employees

Juliet Mendoza, an accountant in PSHH's Fiscal Department, is celebrating her 27th year as a valued staff member.  Since joining us in 1990, Juliet has supported our mission with her humor, dedication and expertise. 

Annette Montoya as the new Director of Administration, will continue to support the organization's strategic initiatives with her experience, institutional knowledge and oversight of special projects.
Gillian Cole-Andrews, with a new title of Director of Communications and Resource Development, has had her role expanded to include marketing and public relations.
