EASTER 2014 AT HIGHLAND...

Now is the time to make definite arrangements with your family and friends to enjoy Easter at Highland this Sunday, April 20. Easter is meant to be a day to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus. Let's share this celebration of hope with our whole community!

Many families come and spend the whole morning. With three Easter services at 8:15, 9:30, & 11:00am, children's classes, bounce house, giant slide, circus train, a petting zoo and a free breakfast beginning at 8:30am. There are many things for your whole family to enjoy on our West Lawn. You can even get a family picture!

On Easter Sunday, come early and try out the 8:15am service. When you attend, plan to sit toward the front of the Worship Center in order to leave room for late arriving guests. Invite your family and friends to come with you!

GOOD FRIDAY SERVICES...

Tomorrow's 5:30 and 7:00pm services will feature the full Worship Team, the Celebration of Communion, and a time of personal commitment around the cross.

The theme of the service is "Encounters With Christ." We will walk through the last events of Jesus' earthly ministry and His death on the cross.

Through the use of three unique video presentations you will hear what it was like for some of the first century participants as they saw Jesus go to the cross.

The service ends in darkness, as the congregation is encouraged to go home and await the Resurrection. This time of Good Friday worship will prepare you spiritually for Sunday's Celebration of Easter.

Childcare is provided for infants through 6th grade. Older children are welcome to stay in the Worship Center with their parents.

ON EASTER MORNING,
APRIL 20...

The message in each of our three services is entitled, "Celebrating The Hope Easter Brings." For many, hope is in short supply in these times. The economic recovery is not happening fast enough and it is a struggle to live.

Peter, the disciple of Jesus who recognized Him as the Christ, or Messiah... and soon after that denied even knowing who Jesus is three times in the same night... wrote this about Jesus in 1 Peter 1:3 (NIV)...

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."

Because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, it says, "He has given us a new birth into a living hope." What is this living hope we now have, that only the Resurrection of Jesus Christ gives us?

On Sunday I intend to answer that question by sharing the five things our living hope includes. I promise, your friends will hear the "good news" of hope and you will be encouraged.

Invite your family, friends, and co-workers to one of our weekend services. These services include tomorrow's Good Friday services at 5:30 and 7:00pm and then the Easter Sunday Celebrations at 8:15, 9:30, and 11:00am.

I look forward to worshipping with you and may God bless your celebration of Easter 2014!  He Is Risen... He Is Risen Indeed!

Sincerely,
