Congratulations on Another Fun- & Funds-filled Event
 
The 13 th Annual Ken Hayden Memorial Golf Tournament at Bent Creek Golf Course was held Monday, May 16. This year, the four-person mixed scramble brought 160 enthusiastic golfers together, which raised more than $70,000.
 
The tournament has generated over $680,000 since its 2004 inception helping Saint Francis patients and their families in the region. Named in honor of Ken Hayden, who loved helping people and playing golf, the outing's proceeds assist Saint Francis Healthcare System patients and their families in need in a variety of beneficial ways.

In June, The Friends Café by My Daddy's Cheesecake is partnering with The Friends for delectable share days! A portion of all dining proceeds for the month will be donated to support Saint Francis Healthcare System patients and their families in need. Don't forget, The Friends Café by My Daddy's Cheesecake donates a portion of all Saint Francis employee badge swipes made throughout the year to The Friends of Saint Francis in support of patients.

Annual Benefit Golf Tournament
A Worthy Cause is Just Around the Bend

The Friends of Saint Francis 29 th Annual Benefit Golf Tournament is all set for Friday, August 19, at Bent Creek Golf Course in Jackson. The morning golf session begins at 7:30 am and the afternoon round starts at 1:30 pm, with both rounds featuring 18 holes of picture-perfect golf, quality golf apparel, beverages, treats and special surprises.
 
First-, second- and third-place prizes will be awarded for each of the three flights, in addition to hole-competition prizes. Diamond, Platinum, Gold and Silver sponsors can provide a unique gift item to each tournament golfer (supplied by sponsor). All proceeds from this year's tournament will support Saint Francis free valet parking, which helps those who may have difficulty walking from one of our parking lots to an entrance. The Friends now sponsors this beneficial service to all patients and visitors of Saint Francis Medical Center.

Saint Francis Healthcare Scholarship Program
Scholarship Program Accepting Applications

Saint Francis  Healthcare System
Foundation and the Saint Francis Auxiliary are still accepting applications for the Saint Francis Healthcare Scholarship Program for the 2016 fall semester. The $2,000 scholarships assist students who are pursuing a degree in a healthcare-related profession.
 
To be eligible, students must live within the Saint Francis Healthcare System service area, have successfully completed at least one year in an accredited healthcare program and currently be enrolled with a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 GPA scale. Students can be awarded one scholarship per year for a maximum of two years. The application also includes an essay requirement that is due by 5 pm, June 20.
 
Comprised of volunteers, the Scholarship Review Committee brings expertise to the selection process. The committee's role is to evaluate applications in a fair, transparent and consistent manner.
