Greetings!
Several folks have asked me recently about my thoughts on the market’s current volatility.
I have never been a fan of watching stock market performance on a daily basis. I do absolutely stay on top of news, trends, rate changes, new laws and the like, but I generally find it better to take a long term approach when checking my personal portfolios and therefore watch the market less frequently.
Many agree the fundamentals of the U.S. economy remain strong. Although there are no guarantees about what tomorrow will bring, having a plan in place that prepares you for the certainty of uncertainty is the best course of action.
As I mentioned in a previous email, both Adam and I now have our BFA (Behavioral Financial Advisor) certification. This certification helps us make sure you are living in alignment with your behavior and stated values, so that despite times of market volatility and uncertainty, we remain focused on long term goals, thereby helping reduce financial stress and keeping emotions in check.
I look forward to sharing more about the BFA certification when I see you next.
Sincerely,
Andy Burdsall
