As most of you already know I am a breastfeeding educator, advocate and mom! One of my greatest joys in life is supporting moms to successfully breastfeed their babies.
One thing I have learned in the last 22 years working with thousands
of moms, as a L&D Nurse, Nurse Midwife, Lactation Consultant and Educator....is that there are many ways to support and not one "right" way!
This is where judgment, negativity and drama can interfere with the ultimate goal of pure love and support. I have unfortunately experienced this as a professional and as a mom.
If you know me, you know that it has and always will be my mission to educate, inspire and empower new parents to make the most informed and healthiest choices for their family. When it comes to breastfeeding, this is especially important. There is not one way that works for every mom.
It is time for everyone in the breastfeeding community to come together and support those who support breastfeeding regardless of the way they do it!
