In Memoriam
Rachel Duncan
The Charlottesville Symphony family mourns the loss of Rachel Duncan who passed away on August 8th. Rachel joined the orchestra as Principal Trumpet in 2015 and was also the Lecturer in Trumpet at the University of Virginia.
She was a gifted musician, a wonderful colleague and a cherished friend to many of us.
A memorial service will be held at
Old Cabell Hall on
Sunday, September 2, at 3:00pm. It will be followed by a reception at the Municipal Arts Center, 119 5th Street SW, Charlottesville, Virginia 22902. All who wish to share in this time of remembrance and celebration of Rachel’s life are welcome.
