Greensboro Beautiful Meets & Exceeds

Matching Gift Challenge!

Greensboro Beautiful is pleased to announce that it recently met and exceeded a Matching Gift Challenge where if the organization raised $10,000 in Board & Advisory Board gifts and contributions from new or lapsed business donors, they could receive a $10,000 matching gift.

Greensboro Beautiful volunteer and long-time supporter, Bob Krumroy generously offered the challenge as a means to strengthen GBI Board giving and individual participation in fundraising efforts in the community on behalf of the organization.  

"I'm pleased that Greensboro Beautiful was not only able to raise more than $11,700 towards this challenge between November 2016 and February 2017; but that they achieved 100% Board participation", says Krumroy.

A very special thanks to Bob for his outstanding generosity; and for challenging the Greensboro Beautiful Board and Advisory Board to strengthen its Annual Gifts Campaign through Board giving. Funds raised through this challenge grant will be used to help support Greensboro Beautiful's special events in the public gardens in 2017.
