Donation
Walzer Melcher partner and Stanford University alumnus Steven K. Yoda
and his family donated the diaries of his great-uncle, a Japanese businessman who lived in the San Francisco Bay Area in the early 1900's. The diaries give a unique perspective into life for Japanese immigrants during that time.

We are happy to welcome Erik Eliazar Millan, our newest law clerk. Erik graduated from California State University Northridge in 2015 with a double major in Business Law and Economics. He likes to tell people that Business Law is his major and that he just got an extra degree in Economics for “funsies." He considers himself a film buff and particularly enjoys psychological thrillers, mystery films, and quirky comedies. His favorite movie is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. While at CSUN he practiced martial arts. Unfortunately, he decided to stop practicing to focus on studying for the LSAT. He told himself that he would resume training again after he started law school, but got lazy.

We are excited to welcome Morrine "Mo" Sosnow our newest file clerk. A native Angeleno and “valley girl,” Mo grew up in Van Nuys when there were equally as many orange groves as houses.
After a thirty-one year career at the Los Angeles Times as a computer specialist she was let go and began working part time at a friend’s law office, thus beginning her “new career” working in law offices. Fast forward twelve years and here she is, now 120 years old!
Her passions are music, sports and family. She plays drums and her husband David plays bass in a pop-ish type band called “Jed’s Dead” and they gig around town several times a year.

We are happy to welcome Kristina Hohne, our newest attorney. She joins us from a civil litigation firm in downtown Los Angeles. Kristina was born and raised in Woodland Hills and is happy to be back to her old stomping ground, although she’s surprised at all the local eateries she never knew existed. When she’s not lawyering, Kristina enjoys spending time with her family and sneaking in some light reading. Her husband is from Boston, so she loves all things New England, particularly the Patriots and the Red Sox.

The Mascots of
Walzer Melcher
|
Our Woodland Hills office receives an eclectic array of furry visitors. In this newsletter we spotlight Roger the Rabbit who was formerly married to Regina Rabbit. We represented Mr. Rabbit in his divorce. Ever since, he has been living in the garden in front of our office. The Rabbit family's parenting plan presented problems since rabbits have litters with 1-14 babies and they can become impregnated almost immediately on giving birth.
