A Special Prayer Request

Dear CFI-COTR Family,

We are so grateful for the continued prayer support from all of you! I have had many emails, Facebook postings, phone calls and texts from many of you.

THANK YOU!

As Johnson and I are here (USA) for a few more days, it is with very heavy hearts to write this update to you as we are not on the ground on campus.

As Dr. Barry Kolb shared last month at the CFI Board meeting,"Hows your YET?" In Habakkuk 3:17-19,"YET I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation"( v.19).

Thank you so much for your prayers for the family and all on the campus during the Hudhud cyclone situation this past weekend. We finally got through to Helen this morning and she gave an update on the situation there. Mom and all the entire CFI family are safe!

Praise God that no one on the campus was injured!

The campus on the other hand is devastating with lots of damage, still no electricity, no water, we can't get diesel for the generators (people hoarding supplies). The cost of vegetables, supplies are all gone up due to the lack and some unethical practices, we do have some rice in stock but the rest we were buying as needed.

In all of moms (33 years) of tree planting, they all are gone. The generator by the gate has been damaged by the storm and is not operational. The one on the children campus is still operational.

The cross on the Worship Center is gone, all the sheds, metal coverings that were on the buildings (new kitchen, new school boys bathrooms, media center, bus, cow and dairy, farm staff quarters) are all gone. The cows are wandering now on the main campus, some lost. All the building have some roof damages.

Our home and the water well-pump in the back has also been damaged. Lots of broken glass all over campus, windows. The ambulance was damaged, with broken glass.

Most of the school and seminary students have been sent home to be with their families until some normalcy is returned.

All the staff, workers trying to clean up what they can to at least get water and electricity back.

Many of you have asked what can you do? You can pray for all the campus and all the team in the rebuild, support financially, and look at bringing construction team to campus in the near future to help in the rebuild.

You are partners with us for a reason - because you believe in our vision to bring Christ to India.

Many of you have already sowed into CFI and we are so thankful for that. We are in a season right now, where we require more general funds to rebuild the Campus That is why we are writing you today to ask that you prayerfully consider giving a special gift this year towards our general funds to help cover the cost of rebuilding. If you are inspired by what we do and feel moved by our reports of what is taking place in India, then please consider what you might do to help further our impact there.

We are so blessed to have each of you in our corner - praying for us, giving to our cause and cheering us on.
