SPOTLIGHT

New England native ANN TRACY (one of the directors for The Maine Dish) has worked as a director, actor, writer and artist for over 30 years, with a 10 year hiatus as a radio news announcer, news director and journalist working in the Denver, Milwaukee, San Jose and Sacramento markets. She was the first female voice on the air at KTLK, Denver in 1977.  Tracy was a theatre reviewer for Sacramento, CA radio stations KGNR and KXPR, the PBS affiliate (1984-86).   Tracy was invited to sit on the judging panel of  the STAR Gala One-Person show festival produced by Bacovia CITY Theatre, Bacau, Romania (April 2009) and was also a reader for the NEA's New Plays Project administered by Arena Stage (2010).

As the founding artistic director of Beyond the Proscenium Productions in 1994, she directed many original works and regional premieres for the company until it closed in 2009.  Ann is the author of nine scripts, six of which have been produced in California.  Pasta and Poetry is her first play to be produced in Maine.  She has also directed for the 24 hour Playwright's Festival (2013).  She is grateful to SnowLion Rep for the opportunity to have her work produced and to be back in the director's saddle.
