No one asked you to become a caregiver for a hard of hearing person. The job was handed to you by Divine providence. You did not plan for this.

A family member was born hard of hearing or lost hearing through disease, accident, work or by an act of war. You were not prepared for the task of care giving and all your plans and dreams for the future have been changed forever.
