Sometimes we just need to be reminded of the truth. And since God so graciously reminded me this week, I want to share with you:
You are not a victim of your circumstance.
Whether you are journeying through something physical, emotional, relational or financial, you, my friend, are not a victim.
You are a conqueror. And you are powerful. In fact, you are way more powerful than you think you are.
You have the God of the universe and all of Heaven behind you. Jesus has paid your debt and purchased your freedom. You have the Holy Spirit living inside of you, bringing healing, comfort, wholeness and boldness.
Your life is held in the palm of your Daddy's hand. You have all you need and then some. You have the keys to the Kingdom and the ability to use them.
You have the joy of the Lord and the peace of His presence.
You are a joy-filled, faith-filled, purpose-filled child of Almighty God, adopted into an everlasting Kingdom and a family in which you completely belong!
You are highly favored and exceedingly well thought of. You are abundantly delighted in and extravagantly rejoiced over.
Your Daddy smiles at the very mention of your name and His eyes twinkle and shine at the very thought of you.
No, my friend, you are no victim. You are a powerful conqueror, a beloved child, a purposeful being with the royal blood of the King coursing through your veins!
So hold your high. Remember whose you are. And rejoice!
So what should we say about this? If God is for us, no one can defeat us. He did not spare His own Son but gave Him for us all. So with Jesus, God will surely give us all things. Who can accuse the people God has chosen? No one, because God is the One who makes them right. Who can say God's people are guilty? No one, because Christ Jesus died, but He was also raised from the dead, and now He is on God's right side, appealing to God for us. Can anything separate us from the love Christ has for us? Can troubles or problems or sufferings or hunger or nakedness or danger or violent death? As it is written in the Scriptures: "For you we are in danger of death all the time. People think we are worth no more than sheep to be killed." But in all these things we are completely victorious through God who showed His love for us. Yes, I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor ruling spirits, nothing now, nothing in the future, no powers, nothing above us, nothing below us, nor anything else in the whole world will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord!
