Emergency Closings/Late Start
Procedures and criteria we use to determine a school closing or late start are posted on the district website. The district uses
as the primary means of notification, in addition to posting messages on the district website, all school pages, and through social media.
BrightArrow Notification System
An alert will be sent using the contact information you provided when you registered your student for school (during InfoSnap online registration). If you wish to receive notification using other devices, you must register and/or update your profile by logging into the BrightArrow website.
Although this easy-to-use mobile app will help track when the bus will arrive, parents/guardians are asked to remind students to be at their stop
at least 5 minutes before designated stop time
to help insure buses run in a timely manner.
Dress for the Weather!
As a final reminder, please encourage your children to dress appropriately for the winter, whether they are inside the school or outside. Students should wear long pants, layered clothing on the top, socks, and closed-toed shoes. If there was an emergency in the building that necessitates an evacuation, we want students to be as safe as possible in bitter weather. We have a protocol in place for school evacuations in severe weather, but students will be outside for at least a few minutes while the situation is being assessed.
