Town Hall Thank You
A big thanks to all who came out to the Anchorage Caucus meeting and/or Neighborhood Town Hall last Saturday!

These gatherings resulted in some great discussion, allowing me to hear direct feedback from our community to help guide me down in Juneau. I had the chance to talk with many of you and am truly humbled to be your representative.

Growing up in the district and now having the chance to serve our neighborhood means a lot to me. Together, we have the opportunity to do a lot of good - to help our state and district, which is a responsibility I take very seriously.

So, as always, thank you for your time, energy and input! Please know my door is always open.
The next one is right around the corner!
Couldn't make it last Saturday? No problem! I'd still like a chance to sit down with you when I'm in Anchorage next.

On Saturday, March 18th from 11am - 12:30pm, please join me at the Jewel Lake Kaladi Brothers community room. Come by to share your thoughts and enjoy a cup of coffee on me!
Making Your Voice Heard on the Budget
Public Testimony is one of the most critical parts of civic engagement and the democratic process. This week, House Finance Committee will be taking public testimony on the budget. Although life it busy and it's hard to make time, I encourage you to consider sharing your opinions on the budget:

WHAT: Public Testimony for Anchorage residents on the Operating Budget (House Bill 57) and Mental Health Budget (House Bill 59)

WHEN: This Friday, March 3rd, 1:00pm - 3:00pm*
*Be sure to arrive at least 15 minutes before the end or testimony may close early.

WHERE: Anchorage Legislative Information Office (1500 W. Benson Blvd., 2nd Floor)

For more public testimony instructions, click HERE.
Can't make it to the LIO on Friday? You can also send written testimony to the House Finance Committee via [email protected] through 5:00 p.m. this Saturday, March 4th.

To watch the meeting online, visit www.akleg.gov and click on the “Live Now” button.  The hearing can also be viewed on Gavel to Gavel.
Jewel Lake Farmers Market - Are You In?
Everyone loves a good Farmers Market, but have you ever thought about starting one in our neck of the woods? I certainly have!

In an effort to bring fresh, locally grown produce and other Alaskan goods to our neighborhood, we're calling on anyone who'd like to be on the ground floor of planning this exciting project.

If you'd like to learn more or get involved, please contact me on my personal email at [email protected]. Would love to hear from you!
