To all my Dear Students and Friends around the world,
I want to thank all of the people who have contributed funds and equipment for the people in Nepal. Your love and compassion is the very essence of Bon.
I am still sadden by the photos and news I receive from Nepal daily. My heart and prayers go to the people who died and to the survivors in the Nepal Earthquake.
This devastation has affected so many people - families, children who parents died in this earthquake and elders who survived, but their children did not, like a BCH student who graduated and went back to take care of his family and was killed in the earthquake.
Even with all of your help and the help from so many different organizations who donated to the Nepal Relief. The help we have given is only a fraction of what is needed. There could soon be sickness from unclean water and no shelter.
I encourage everyone to please help if you can by donating funds, purchasing tents for 5-6 people, Canopies, water filtration systems and ready to eat foods. They are in need of sleeping pads, sleeping bags, tarps and more. If you are able to purchase these items and send them to Yeru Bon Center before May 21th, my team will be taking then personally to Nepal. With the funds you are able to donate, they will purchase the needed baby food, ready to eat meals and water so they can take remote areas. Yeru Bon Center has been putting together gallon bags with essentials like children fever reducers, aspirins, band-aids, soap and other needed items we all take for granted, but are important.
If you are able to join the Yeru Bon Center Nepal Relief team to go to Nepal, please contact Yeru Bon Center for more information at 952-300-6111.
With the Monsoon Rain expected in a few weeks, the people of Nepal need shelter. There are a lot of children in need of medical attention. Our help can make a difference, no matter how small or how big for the people who now have nothing and not sure what to do next.
With all my prayers and blessings,
Latri Nyima Dakpa Rinpoche
