INVITATION TO AN INTERFAITH PRAYER VIGIL
Dear Parish Family:

The tragic event at a night club last Sunday in Orlando has left many of us speechless, especially after finding out, through the media, the nature of the horrendous crime committed by a lone individual. My prayers are with the families of the victims. I also pray for the repose of the souls of those who died, in what has been described as the worse gun massacre in the United States. May our God have mercy upon the gunman, and may He comfort all those who mourn.

Today I was invited by Rev. Mary Rosendahl of the Episcopal Church of the Nativity, to attend an interfaith meeting with the purpose of producing a pastoral letter for our communities. The pastoral letter will be sent out today as a press release to all media operating on the Treasure Coast.

We are also organizing an Interfaith Prayer Vigil tomorrow, Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at Tradition Welcome Center, located at 10489 SW Meeting Street, Port St. Lucie, FL 34987.

We gather in prayer to decry violence in the Name of God.  God rejects violence.
We gather for mourning.
We gather for healing.

For more information on directions please feel free to contact the Center at (772) 345-8265. The Interfaith Payer Vigil is scheduled to begin this Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

I would like to invite you, along with your family and friends, to participate in the Vigil as we pray for the victims, their families, and for the nation. The service will be led by Episcopal priests, myself included, an Islamic Imam, Jewish Rabbis, Baptist pastors, and several others. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow, Tuesday, June 14 th  at 6:30 p.m., at the Interfaith Prayer Vigil, as we pray for the victims and for our communities.

In Christ Jesus,

The Very Reverend Orlando J. Addison
Vicar.
