Heart-2-Heart is published on the First Friday of each month by the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. We offer this as our gift to you with the hopes that our story and the spirituality of the Sacred Heart will touch your heart as you strive to live the Gospel in your daily life.

As we begin the New Year on January 1, we celebrate more than the start of a calendar year. We also observe the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, recognizing Mary's maternity of our Savior under the title of Theotokos. It seems an apt festivity, after the Nativity of our Lord, to acknowledge Mary's role in the Incarnation and her elevation by God as the Mother of His Only Begotten Son. Through Mary, "God is with us." With all that goes on in the world and in our own lives, it is difficult at times to truly understand and accept that "God is with us." And yet, our faith continues to remind us of His presence. In our prayers and through the prayers of others, God continues to speak to us. May we "tune in" to all that God wants to say to our hearts this year.
