Hey there,

If you remember last year around this time, we did a StoryPeople thing that looked a lot like a calendar. The funny thing was that a lot of you told us it was the most fun thing you thought we'd ever done & you asked us to do it again.

But, here's the problem: no one around here likes calendars. We have a theory that it's because they stress us out with how little time we have. We also have another theory that it's because they're all about living for the future & we'd much rather be enjoying the now. We probably have two or three other theories if you get us rolling, but mainly it comes down to this. We think calendars are a bad idea.

On the other hand, we think starting every day with a story is a good idea.

So, we came up with a compromise again this year. We put together thirteen of your favorite stories for 2013 & painted them in bright colors & put a little grid thingie with numbers in it underneath. Of course, some people will say it looks a lot like a calendar.

Whatever.

We think this thing-that-looks-a-lot-like-a-calendar is all about today. What are you going to do today? How are you going to be with the people in your life today? How are you going to live today?

That's why we put in a bonus month. (We didn't do a whole lot of research, other than googling it, but we think it's the first-ever bonus month in the entire history of time.:-)) That's right. Not January 2014, so you're already on to the next year, but an actual secret bonus month that you can use for whatever you want. Maybe curl up with a book & drink tea & listen to your favorite music for an entire month. Some people have said they'll use it to catch up. (We think that's another bad idea, on about the same level as a calendar.)

Imagine it. What would you do with a month that was all your own? Not for work, or for things you've been meaning to do ever since you can remember. Consider it your own personal dream time. Just because it looks like a calendar, doesn't mean it is.

We only printed up a limited amount, because really, we can't have all those bonus months just floating around. What would be the point if everyone had them? It'd just turn into a regular month then. But you can order one today for $19.95, plus S&H. Or better yet, give someone you love the gift of the first ever bonus month in the history of time & order two for $35, plus S&H.

But, for all of you who want them just because you need something that's a lot like a calendar, they really are beautiful. Bright, saturated colors. A lively start to your day. Stories that give a little spin to each of the regular months. Drop on by & take a look at storypeople.com. We think you'll like how 2013 is shaping up…

With love,

The Crew at StoryPeople

P.S. Seriously, we think the bonus month is worth $19.95 all on its own. It's like we're throwing in all those regular months for free.

So, two of these things-that-look-like-calendars for $35? We could make a case that you should buy a box of them & quit your job & just live on the bonus months until you come back rested & ready to go. (Shows you where our priorities are, hmm?)

P.P.S. We keep forgetting to let you know that Brian sent his new book to the printer last week. (We saw the proof copy of it & we've got to tell you it's gorgeous! New artwork in Brian's inimitable style & stories on everything, Which makes sense since it's called Theories of Everything. We'll let you know as soon as it's available. But if you want to see sneak peeks of it, we'd suggest you drop in on him at brianandreas on Instagram, or twitter. We think you'll be amazed…
