AADC Mabel's Alumnae Mentoring Program
February 2017 Newsletter
"I have gained invaluable
professional support
and encouragement."
Welcome to 2017: a new chapter in our stories, tales of which only we can be the author.

We continue to welcome feedback and ideas from Mentors and Mentees. What questions are coming up in your mentoring sessions? What support/resources would help?

Mentoring is based on individual communication and support, but the AADC Mabel's Alumnae Mentoring Program also depends on the shared wisdom of the group.
This newsletter is a connection point for all alumnae in the program, highlighting the people, programs and resources available.

Share Your Feedback on Upcoming Conference Calls
The AADC Mabel's Alumnae Mentoring Program Task Team would like to hear from you. Join our next conference call for Mentees this  Monday, February 13 at 7:00 pm EST. To RSVP for the Mentee call and to receive call-in details, e-mail Valerie Zieniuk '05.

Special thanks to Mentors who shared their insights on our conference call held on February 2. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive! Many Mentors enjoy getting to know their "delightful" Mentees and would recommend the program. Not only that, many say it is a great way to make connections with other alumnae, despite their geographic distance from the AADC or each other.

Volunteers Needed
The AADC Mabel's Alumnae Mentoring Program Task Team is seeking volunteers, both mentors and mentees alike. We are especially interested in alumnae who would like to work with social media, newsletters, mentor/mentee outreach, and programming. If you are interested, please contact our Associate Director of Alumnae Relations Valerie Zieniuk '05.
New Year, New You! Networking Workshop
Thank you to those Mentors and Mentees who attended the New Year, New You! Workshop on Saturday, January 21. At this workshop, presenter Donna C. Coulson '77, M.S., PCC shared great tips for networking leading to a redefined purpose and focus. The information divulged at the workshop included thinking about the slide pictured at the left: what do you want to STOP doing, START doing, CONTINUE doing, and DO differently in 2017?

Alumnae also expanded their circles as a means of achieving their personal and professional goals.
If you would like more information on the content of the workshop, please e-mail Valerie Zieniuk '05 .
