STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS

New Festival Co-Directors

Jen Kim and Kayla Wong return this year as Festival Co-Directors! 
They have a lot of new ideas for this year, so keep an eye and ear out for more soon.



Jen Kim is a Film Producer, Director, Writer and Editor and last year's AAIFF Marketing and Outreach Manager. She dove into the film world with the 2016 Asian American Film Lab's 72 Hour Shootout and this year's HBO Asian Pacific American Short Film Competition.  She is the Vice President of Also-Known-As, Inc. , an international adoptee association in New York City and Producer of the 2017  DOC NYC Visionaries Tribute .

Kayla Wong is a Seattle-born, New York-based Producer. After graduating from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in Film and TV Production, she went on to create fun/inspiring/culturally-aware content with her company, 8-Player Pictures, LLC. This will be her 6th year with the festival; having jumped between Technical Director, Volunteer Coordinator, and Operations Manager, she is ready to make this the best AAIFF yet!
